Story: A 18th century adventure story centered on young Thomas, who is apprenticed to the local Spook to learn to fight evil spirits. His first great challenge comes when the powerful Mother Malkin escapes her confinement while the Spook is away.

THE BUZZ: Love the idea of what evil in the form of Julianne Moore and directed by Mongol: The Rise of Genghis Khan's Sergey Bodrov will look like; further stoking our interest is the fact that the project is on the Warner Bros. lot, as the studio is eager to appease its Harry Potter fanbase. Hopefully Bodrov and the studio found a balance between storytelling, practical filmmaking, and visual effects.
